What does Omnichannel mean (definition)?

The omnichannel retail strategy is defined as an approach where shoppers are provided with a fully integrated shopping experience which includes unifying all sales channels to create a universal shopping experience no matter what channel the shopper is on – from brick and mortar to the website to the mobile app. “Omni” comes from the latin woord omnis which means universal – this should not be confused with multichannel which primarily means more that one channel.
