Adding a New Product on Shopify
You need to follow the steps mentioned below to add a new product on Shopify:
- On the Shopify Admin, click on Products
- On the Products page, click on Add Product
- Enter the title/name of the product followed by the additional details.
- Click on Save
Updating an Existing Product on Shopify
You need to follow the steps mentioned below to update a product on Shopify:
- On the Shopify Admin, click on Products
- Select the name of the product that you would like to update
- Make changes to the product details as necessary
- Click on Save
Duplicate a Product
While adding a new product, you can also duplicate an existing product to save time on entering the product details. You can just duplicate an existing product and then make changes to it to add it as a new product.
In case you want to add options to a product, such as colour or size, then you can just add a variant to the existing product instead of duplicating the product.
You need to follow the steps mentioned below to duplicate a product on Shopify:
- On the Shopify Admin, click on Products
- Select the name of the product that you would like to duplicate
- Click on Duplicate
- Enter a name for the duplicate product, and then click on Duplicate
- Edit the information in the information page in the same way as when you created the original product.
- Once complete, click on Save
Deleting a Product on Shopify
You can delete a single product, or multiple products at one go by using bulk action. Once deleted, it will be permanently removed from Shopify and it cannot be restored.
If you run out of stock for a particular product or no longer want to display it on your store, but do not want to delete it from your store, then you can hide it instead.
You need to follow the steps mentioned below to delete a product on Shopify:
- On the Shopify Admin, click on Products
- Select the product that you want to delete
- Click Delete Product on the product details page
- If you’re sure about deleting the product, then click on Delete Product to remove it from your store.
