Once you have found a product to sell, found your suppliers, ordered the sample, targeted your audience, set up Shopify store, then it is the best time to launch your shopify store and make it live.
With the help of these few simple steps you can launch your Shopify store:
Add new domain In Shopify:
- Login to Shopify admin.
- Go to Settings, click Domain.
- And then click on Add an existing Domain button to add your domain name.
Update DNS Records:

- Login to your Domain Registrar, and then change the DNS record.
- In place of @ or A insert the following IP address:
23.227.38.32
- Replace or add the www CNAME with your store’s link without the http bit, something like, storename.myshopify.com
Remove Storefront Password, if any:
If you do not remove the password, then no one will be able to access your site, even after launching it.
Set as Primary, if necessary:
- Login to Shopify admin.
- Go to setting, click Domain
- From the drop-down list, you can choose your domain name; click on Redirect all traffic to this domain. This will help the traffic from other domain be directed to your primary domain.
Adding other Domains:
Step 1 and 2 can be repeated with your other domain names also. All the domain names will be redirected to the primary domain, which can be changed at any time using Set as Primary option next to the domain name.
These are the few important things that need to be focused on the day of launch:
- A final content check should be done to ensure that there is no error or missing images.
- All the links should also be checked in the homepage or elsewhere in the store
- If you have any active coupon or any promotional launch codes in the old store, set it up in the new store.
